One of my goals during our family's vacation to the Smokies this year was to climb the trail to Gregory Bald. Since we were in Townsend for ChristyFest in June, the azaleas would be in bloom. It was a very hot, humid day when Debbie, my sister-in-law from Nebraska, and I took the challenge of hiking to the mountain meadow. Our efforts were rewarded with the splendor of the various colored azeleas and a mountaintop view of Cades Cove. Awesome! Happy 75th, GSMNP! Bob
